Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It. Week 1 Round-Up

What a great first week and kick-off to our 3rd annual Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It. campaign to support the U.S. Bicycle Route System (USBRS)!

On Tuesday we had a $1,000 match challenge from sister companies Sun Bicycles and Origin-8 that was met within the day. Then on Wednesday, WomanTours came on with another $1,000 match challenge that was also met that day!

We had two great raffle prizes -- a Verve 10 hydration pack from Osprey Packs (congratulations to Judy Knoll), and a package of cycling accessories from Moots. Congratulations to John Lever of Long Beach, MS, our latest raffle winner!

Seventeen core supporters have signed on as volunteer fundraisers as well as three state partners -- the Bicycle Alliance of New Hampshire, the Missouri Bicycle and Pedestrian Federation, and the Bicycle Alliance of Washington. You can still sign up to be a core supporter and win cool prizes like a USBRS jersey, life membership with Adventure Cycling, and even a chance to win a BOB Trailer.

So far we've raised $3, 320, and here's what some of our supporters have to say:

Well said, guys!

We've had an amazing first week, and there's still a long way to go to hit our $50,000 goal by May 31st. You can make a big difference in getting us there by donating today and having your gift matched by Adventure Center, our latest sponsor offering a $2,500 match challenge.

Don't forget to spread the word about the Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It. campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and all your social networking sites.

Thanks for a great first week to everyone!
