America ByCycle Takes on the Pacific Coast

Graphic: America ByCycle

I met Michelle Cassel and Ryan McAfee of America ByCycle when they came through Adventure Cycling's headquarters on their TransAmerica Trail adventure. Not only were they funny, nice, and considerate people but I also learned that they were talented videographers and reporters, and had created some very inspiring videos about their TransAm trip.

Over the last year, we've worked with them to begin to build our video program. They've done amazing work, producing the excellent and informative "How to Read Adventure Cycling's Maps" and "How to Prepare for a Long Distance Bicycle Tour" videos, and a short primer on "How to Pack Your Panniers."

Today, I'm super excited to announce that they are hitting the road the again and we get to go along for the ride! This Saturday, September 1, Michelle and Ryan begin their next adventure in Vancouver, BC. From there, they'll follow the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route (with a side trip or two on the Washington Parks route) down the coast and through its communities. Once again, they will document their adventure, capturing the Pacific Coast's beauty and covering inspiring stories about businesses and individuals who are working to improve their community and the planet. We'll follow them here, episode by episode!

Watch the video below and learn a bit about what makes America ByCycle tick. Join the ride!
