For the first time in over a decade, Adventure Cycling came out on top for the Commuter Challenge! Select staff accepted our hefty award at an party last Thursday. They would like to share their acceptance speeches with you now.
From right to left...
Ted: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. I couldn't have done it without my trusty sticker bike and the encouragement of Richard." (Then he sang an above-par rendition of "I Will Always Love You.")
John: "I'm out of mini-corn dogs ... I'm going to need more of those to fuel my ride all the way back to Lolo."
Derek: "For as much as I commute year-round, I get to touch the trophy."
Jim: "I'd like to sincerely thank Google Docs and Rachel's knowledge of them."
Tom: "CHAMPIONS. You heard me ... CHAMPIONS."
Amanda: "Get my good side! Being carless has never looked this good."
Mo: "I got off crutches just in time to help lead Adventure Cycling to victory! Next? Probably a 48-hour race."
In all seriousness, we'd like to thank Missoula in Motion for hosting such a great event! Biking to work is a part of our day-to-day lifestyles and it's wonderful to have a week to raise awareness and throw a little friendly-competition in the mix.
